Description Millemetri - Technik Kevlar Multifunctional Scissors

    Millemetri Technik Kevlar-Multifunktionsschere 16,5 cm

The cutting section is equipped with a single finely micro-serrated cutting blade. These micro-serrations grip smooth and strong fibers during the cutting motion, preventing the material from sliding forward or slipping between the blades. This results in a clean, precise, and fray-free cut in demanding fibers such as Kevlar, Dyneema, Spectra, Nomex, aramid, and glass fabric.

The ergonomically shaped handles made of impact-resistant nylon fit comfortably in the hand and reduce fatigue during repetitive tasks. Thanks to the professional, adjustable screw connection, the tension between the blades can be precisely adjusted at any time, which prevents play and ensures consistent, smooth cutting resistance.

    Benefits for the Target Audience

    - Powerful leverage: The compact 4.5 cm blade, in proportion to the 9.0 cm-long handle, generates high cutting force at the cutting edge with minimal hand effort.
    - Micro-serrated blade to prevent slipping: Prevents smooth and tough fibers such as Kevlar and Dyneema from slipping during the cutting motion.
    - Exceptional wear resistance (62 HRC): The hardened, carbon-rich steel retains its cutting power significantly longer when cutting abrasive composites than conventional scissors.
    - Agile and lightweight (74 grams): Excellent maneuverability for both short, powerful cuts and controlled contour cutting.
    - Ergonomic nylon handles: Distribute cutting pressure evenly across the fingers and prevent pressure points during prolonged professional use.
    - Adjustable screw connection: Allows for precise fine-tuning of blade tension to ensure a consistently backlash-free and smooth operation.

    Instructions for Use and Maintenance

    - Cutting Technique: Place stiff or thicker materials as close as possible to the pivot point for maximum leverage; allow the micro-serrations to grip the fabric without twisting the blades sideways.
    - Adjusting blade tension: Regularly check the tension between the cutting blades. If necessary, turn the central adjustment screw a fraction of a turn when play develops, or loosen it slightly for a smoother stroke.
    - Cleaning: After use, remove dust, lint, and loose fiber debris with compressed air or a dry cloth. If the blades come into contact with epoxy resins, polyurethane, or prepregs, clean them immediately with a cloth moistened with acetone or alcohol, and dry the shears thoroughly.
    - Maintenance: Periodically apply a drop of fine machine oil around the pivot point and the screw shaft. Never use these shears to cut metal wire, steel cables, or hard plastic sheets to keep the fine micro-serration intact.

Who is this product suitable for?

    - Composite fabricators and yacht builders: Who need to quickly cut stiff glass and carbon fiber mats, reinforcement tapes, and vacuum films with high cutting force.
    - Technical textile processors and workshops: Professionals who fabricate ballistic fabrics (such as Kevlar and Twaron), heat-resistant aramid fabrics (Nomex), and heavy-duty industrial fabrics.
    - Sailmakers, riggers, and climbing specialists: For controlled, fray-free cutting of heavy-duty webbing, strap fabric, and Dyneema lines.
    - Aviation, defense, and automotive technicians: Professionals seeking a compact and powerful hand tool for working with wiring harnesses, insulation material, and aramid linings.

The Millemetri Technik Kevlar Multifunctional Shears 16.5 cm deliver maximum industrial cutting power in a handy size. Thanks to its leverage ratio, 62 HRC hardened stainless steel, effective micro-serration, and adjustable screw connection, these Italian shears are a reliable and durable tool for anyone who regularly works with heavy-duty technical fibers.
