Cytac R-Defender Gen 3 Holster for CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow

The Cytac R-Defender Gen 3 Holster is a form-fitting Level II retention holster with an active finger lock, specifically designed for the CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow (right-handed version). With a total length of 15.0 cm and a weight of 171 grams, this holster offers a solid, snag-free fit that precisely follows the contours of this popular competition pistol.

The holster is constructed from high-quality military-grade polymer that is resistant to heavy mechanical impact, wear and tear, chemicals, and extreme weather conditions. The Gen 3 version features a redesigned, recessed quick-release button. This button is flush with the design and features an ergonomic finger recess. As a result, the index finger automatically rests in a safe, extended position along the firearm’s slide when drawing the weapon.

The R-Defender comes standard with an ergonomic paddle attachment for comfortable carry behind the waistband or over the belt. Thanks to the integrated Cytac tooth gear system, the holster can be rotated a full 360 degrees using the included Allen wrench. In addition, the holster is compatible with a wide range of optional Cytac mounting platforms, including the Belt Loop, Belt Clip, RMA MOLLE Attachment, Drop Leg leg platforms, and shoulder harnesses. The product is covered by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Benefits for the Target Audience

- Active Level II safety with ergonomic release: The mechanical latch automatically locks around the trigger guard as soon as the firearm is holstered; with a light press of the index finger, you can draw the pistol in one smooth motion.
- Optimized Gen 3 design: The recessed button prevents accidental snagging on clothing or gear and guides the finger directly to the correct position outside the trigger guard.
- Fully 360-degree adjustable draw angle: The tilt angle is continuously adjustable for a straight draw, FBI tilt, or seated carry in vehicles.
- Comfortable paddle attachment: The anatomically shaped paddle fits securely against the body and can be quickly put on or taken off without unfastening the belt.
- Extremely durable military-grade polymer: Offers superior rigidity compared to leather or nylon, does not warp due to moisture or heat, and withstands heavy use at the shooting range or during operational deployment.
- Modular and interchangeable: Easily unscrewed from the paddle and mounted on leg platforms, tactical vests, or shoulder carriers.

Instructions for Use and Operation

- Installation and wear: Slide the included paddle over your pant waistband or belt until the locking tab engages under the edge of the belt.
- Adjusting the draw angle: Loosen the central Allen screw on the back of the toothed connection using the included Allen wrench. Set the desired angle and tighten the screw by hand to lock the teeth in place.
- Drawing and Holstering: To draw the firearm, place your hand on the stock while pressing the recessed release button with your extended index finger; pull the firearm straight up. To holster it, slide the firearm into the holster opening until a distinct mechanical click confirms that the trigger guard is locked.
- Maintenance: Simply rinse off dust, gunpowder residue, and mud with lukewarm tap water and let the polymer air dry.
