Cytac Tactical Double-Strap Leg Platform
The Cytac Tactical Double-Strap Leg Platform (Heavy-Duty Drop Leg Platform) is a stable and robust mounting system designed to securely position a pistol holster and associated tactical gear on the thigh. With a total weight of 360 grams, this double-strap version offers significantly greater rigidity and torsional stability than lighter single-strap platforms, which is essential during intense tactical movements or when carrying heavier loads.
The platform is constructed from wear-resistant military-grade polymer that withstands heavy impacts, moisture, heat, and cold weather conditions. The panel features Cytac’s trusted tooth gear mounting system, which allows holsters and pouches to be secured at any angle within a 360-degree range. This platform is universally compatible with all Cytac R-Defender holsters, dual magazine pouches, flashlight holders, handcuff holders, and pepper spray holsters.
To ensure a secure, wobble-free fit on the leg, the platform is equipped with two wide, elastic leg straps featuring double non-slip Velcro. Combined with the vertical coupling at the top, the entire configuration remains snug and firmly secured against the thigh. The platform is covered by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Benefits for the Target Audience
- Maximum stability thanks to dual leg straps: The two individually adjustable straps with non-slip Velcro prevent the platform from swaying, sliding, or tipping while sprinting, kneeling, or climbing stairs.
- Complete relief of pressure on the hip area: Positions the firearm and magazines lower so that body armor, plate carriers, or heavy backpacks do not obstruct access to the weapon.
- 360-degree adjustable draw angle: Thanks to the notched mounting points, you can precisely adjust the holster or magazine pouch to the desired ergonomic angle for a smooth and consistent draw.
- Suitable for heavier gear combinations: The sturdy 360-gram construction does not flex when mounting a loaded firearm in combination with spare magazines or secondary gear.
- Maintenance-free and weather-resistant: The durable polymer does not absorb moisture, sweat, or mud and retains its shape under all weather conditions.
Instructions for Use and Assembly
- Attaching to the belt: Slide the vertical carrying loop over your tactical belt or duty belt and adjust the carrying height so that the platform rests comfortably against the outside of your thigh.
- Adjusting the leg straps: Wrap both leg straps around your thigh and secure the non-slip Velcro fastener tightly. The non-slip texture ensures direct contact with your uniform pants without slipping down.
- Mounting accessories: Remove the existing paddle or belt mount from your R-Defender holster or accessory holder. Place the toothed mounting flange on the platform, select the correct angle, and tighten the central Allen screw until the toothed ring engages without any play.
- Maintenance: Simply rinse off sand, mud, and salt with clean tap water and let the platform air dry.
