The Cytac R-Defender Holster for Glock 17 with Gun Light is an impact-resistant Level II retention holster, specially designed for shooters who carry their Glock 17 with a mounted tactical flashlight or laser/light module. This right-handed model has a total length of 13.5 cm and weighs 167 grams, ensuring stable weight distribution on the waist without unnecessary bulk.
The holster is made of high-density military-grade polymer, a material that is resistant to moisture, extreme temperatures, and mechanical shocks. The locking mechanism securely engages the firearm, while the spacious holster shell provides sufficient clearance for lighting modules with maximum dimensions of up to 67.5 mm in height and 37.5 mm in width (including the light).
This holster comes standard with an ergonomic paddle attachment. The inside of this paddle is finished with a non-slip rubber coating. This not only increases comfort when worn on the hip but also prevents the holster from shifting during intense movement. Thanks to the integrated Cytac tooth gear system, the holster can be rotated a full 360 degrees. In addition, the platform is compatible with optional Cytac mounting systems, such as the Belt Loop, Belt Clip, Low Ride Belt Loop, RMA MOLLE Attachment, Drop Leg leg platforms, and shoulder harnesses. The product is covered by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
- Compatibility check: Check in advance whether the mounted weapon light falls within the maximum dimensions (maximum 67.5 mm total height and 37.5 mm width at the light head/housing) and whether the locking mechanism snaps into place without any issues.
- Carrying and Attaching: Slide the ergonomic paddle with the rubber side against your body behind your belt or belt loop until the locking tab engages under the belt.
- Adjusting the Draw Angle: Loosen the central Allen screw on the back of the toothed connector using an Allen wrench. Position the holster at the desired angle and tighten the screw securely.
- Drawing and Holstering: Place your hand on the grip, press the release button with your index finger extended, and draw the pistol straight up. When reholstering, guide the firearm into the holster with the flashlight until a distinct mechanical click confirms that it is locked in place.
- Maintenance: Simply rinse off dust, gunpowder residue, and sand with cold or lukewarm tap water and let the holster air dry.
